
People and pets cannot be in the home during the treatment. You will not be allowed to enter your home until treatment is completed.
ALL heat sensitive and flammable items must be removed prior to treatment. This includes, but is not limited to:
Aerosol cans of any kind – hairspray, cleaning products, etc.
Arts and crafts assembled with glue
Artwork – oil paintings, acrylics, sculptures, etc.
Media – Audio tapes, video tapes, CD’s, DVD’s, records, photographs, software, etc.
Candles and any wax based item
Cigarette lighters, matches, butane grill/fireplace lighters, lighter fluid, butane
Cleaning products that are flammable
Cosmetics that may melt or become damaged, i.e. lipstick, mascara, foundation, etc.
Firearms and ammunition
Fire extinguishers
Food – condiments or perishables must be placed in refridgerator
Furniture – Antique or heirloom pieces, any piece that has a delicate finish
Medications of all kinds including vitamins, excessive heat can alter or destroy the medication
Magnets containing plastic (especially refrigerator magnets)
Musical instruments
Plants – artificial and live plants
Window treatments – vinyl blinds
Any other items that would be damaged or altered by excessive heat must be removed.
All electronics must be unplugged – TV’s, stereos, computers, game systems, etc.
Clothing in closets must be hung loosely in order to be treated properly. Folded clothing must either be hung loosely or placed out in the room in loose piles on the floor. Dresser drawers must not be overfull and all drawers need to be removed and set on floor.
Please remove all clutter from your home as excessive clutter can adversely affect the effectiveness of the treatment. If your home has excessive clutter, we cannot predict the effectiveness of the treatment and therefore additional treatments may be required that would not be covered under our guarantee. If you have concerns about this, please contact our inspector to discuss prior to your appointment.
All valuables should either be removed or secured.
Prior to treatment our technicians will inspect your home to ensure that the home has been properly prepared for treatment. Failure to fully prepare your home could result in delays in treatment and additional cost for our technicians to make necessary preparations.
